No news - We are all very frustrated that the changes to the PPP forgiveness terms have still not been extended.
The House of Representatives did pass H.R. 7010 on Thurs May 28th which would extend the forgiveness period from 8 weeks to 24 weeks. This would allow recipients more time to hire back employees especially in situations where the business has not been given the green light to open... (even in the "green phase" - the light may not be green for all businesses - but that's a topic for another rant). The bill now bounces to the Senate and there are expected to be changes so nothing is definite yet:-/ This is super time sensitive for many of us - so I will do my best to alert you if/when we have some concrete guidance.
Bad news - due to scammers - PUA payments will be paid via paper checks for the foreseeable future - so keep an eye on your mailbox. https://www.uc.pa.gov/unemployment-benefits/file/Pages/Filing-for-PUA.aspx
Good news - We have crossed Memorial day and the that means summer is around the corner - I am hopeful that everyone is finding the opportunity to get out on the nice days and enjoy the freedom of the outdoors!
