Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) is how self-employed individuals should be able to get unemployment benefits not otherwise available thru the normal Pa Unemployment system.

Self-employed individuals should take note of the documents required and start gathering them. If your taxes are not done yet - it is because we still need info from you - so please work on getting back to us so that information is available when you need it to apply.
Guidance is still unclear how either system applies to employee/owners of S corporations... In the past PA has denied benefits to this class of "employee" - but I have had several clients in this situation apply for benefits under normal channels and at least 1 is receiving benefits. Something to consider...
